What We’re Looking For: Building Automation Graphic Designer

Are you a creative and detail-oriented individual with a passion for design and technology? We are seeking a Building Automation Graphic Designer to join our team. As a vital member of our organization, you will be responsible for creating engaging and intuitive graphical interfaces for our building automation systems.

Stepping into the Role: Core Responsibilities for Success

  • Develop high-quality visual designs for building automation interfaces, ensuring clarity and usability for end-users.
  • Create intuitive and user-friendly layouts for Building Automation System (BAS) dashboards and/or controls, enhancing user experience.
  • Modify and update existing graphics based on feedback, system updates, and evolving project requirements.
  • Work closely with HVAC control engineers to translate technical requirements into compelling visual graphics that effectively communicate system functionality.
  • Utilize design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or similar tools to produce high-quality Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) and layouts.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in building automation and graphic design to continually enhance your skill set.
  • Other duties assigned.

What Makes You Stand Out: Qualifications Needed to Apply

  • A self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and work independently.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills to ensure projects run smoothly.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in graphic design, preferably in the building automation or technology sectors.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite with extensive experience using Adobe Illustrator.
  • Understanding of user experience (UX) principles and best practices for interface design.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality, visually appealing graphics.
  • Effective communication skills to convey design concepts and collaborate with technical teams.
  • Previous experience with Automated Logic WebCTRL graphics is highly desirable.
