What We’re Looking For: Shop Assistant

We are seeking an initiative-taking individual to join our team in a part-time to full-time Shop Assistant role. As a Shop Assistant, you will receive on-the-job training to effectively carry out all job-related tasks. Attention to detail is essential in this role, as you will be responsible for maintaining safety standards in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a reliable and proactive individual who can work independently while demonstrating strong organizational skills and a willingness to learn.

Stepping into the Role: Core Responsibilities for Success

  • Verify Deliveries: Check the accuracy of quantity and quality for incoming deliveries.
  • Inventory Management: Label products, maintain an updated inventory, and handle returns.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with internal departments to address order status, missing packages, incorrect deliveries, and damaged products.
  • Ensure orderly production and distribution by pulling orders, shipping, and staging finished products for final distribution.
  • Contribute to the orderly operation of the stock and/or materials storage area.
  • Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, reporting shortages.
  • Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying items listed on production orders.
  • Pack materials for shipping and document product shipments.
  • Open packages, sort, and catalog materials.
  • Learn and adhere to workplace safety rules.
  • Other duties assigned.

What Makes You Stand Out: Qualifications Needed to Apply

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license, a safe driving record and reliable transportation
  • Previous stock or inventory experience a plus
  • Previous experience operating a pallet jack a plus
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to read and analyze Information
  • Adept at handling multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficiency with prioritizing and meeting multiple deadlines
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Excellent time management
  • Process improvement mindset
  • Knowledge of inventory control
